About Ziana

August 4, 1955. Born in the "middle of nowhere," on the outskirts of a very small town in the Maritimes, it would have been natural for Ziana to grow up assuming that she would marry young and raise a houseful of children, foregoing any ambitions to be something or do anything other than that. From a very young age, she refused to accept that, never allowing "naysayers" to rain on her parade.

"The problem with naysayers is that they try to convince you not to do a thing, because they're afraid you will succeed. They're afraid that your success will shine a spotlight on their own perceived failures. But to succeed at anything, we need to adopt the mind set that if it has already been done, I can do it too, and if it has not already been done, then I will be the first to do it. Period.
