About Authoring

Ziana has been writing all of her life, always determined to make it happen even when most believed it wouldn't. The assumption was natural, since getting published is a very difficult challenge — even more so before the age of small press and "Indie" publishing. However, her late parents raised her to believe, "You can do anything you put your mind to." Despite the odds, her first novel, Persistence Pays, was released in 1993, by Meteor/Kismet, a publishing company in Pennsylvania, under the pen name of Kristal Ryan. She hasn't stopped writing since. (Please scroll down for more info on her books.)

Even as a Life and Career Coach, Ziana still coaches aspiring authors in her own time. Currently she is co-writing a feature film in the Sci-fi genre, with a long-time veteran in the filmmaking industry. As well, she is in the process of co-writing a self-help book on the topic of romantic relationships, and how we unwittingly mess them up while our intentions are to save them.

Her writing partner in this project is Linda Jonas, R.P., A.B.A. (Rehabilitation Practitioner with Applied Behavior Analysis.) For a preview of this upcoming book, please download the FREE Special Report: Why We Fall In Love, And Why It Falls Apart.

About Ziana

August 4, 1955. Born in the "middle of nowhere," on the outskirts of a very small town in the Maritimes, it would have been natural for Ziana to grow up assuming that she would marry young and raise a houseful of children, foregoing any ambitions to be something or do anything other than that. From a very young age, she refused to accept that, never allowing "naysayers" to rain on her parade.

"The problem with naysayers is that they try to convince you not to do a thing, because they're afraid you will succeed. They're afraid that your success will shine a spotlight on their own perceived failures. But to succeed at anything, we need to adopt the mind set that if it has already been done, I can do it too, and if it has not already been done, then I will be the first to do it. Period. As Einstein said, if at first an idea doesn't seem too absurd to work, it's not worth pursuing. Another great mind — Tony Robbins — says that success is 20% mechanics and 80% psychology, and he's right."
